Marine Superintendent

This is a key marine operations role, providing oversight across the fleet and working closely with Masters, vessel crews and shore-based teams to maintain high standards of safety, compliance and operational performance.

The Role

• Provide marine and operational support to Masters and vessel crews.
• Monitor vessel safety, performance and compliance.
• Conduct vessel visits, inspections and audits as required.
• Support incident, accident and near-miss investigations and follow-up actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL and relevant company procedures.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections and vetting requirements.
• Work closely with technical, crewing and other shore-based departments.
• Provide practical guidance on operational and marine matters.
• Travel to vessels and ports as required.

About You

• Master or Chief Officer experience on commercial vessels.
• Experience across tankers is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, ISM and vessel operations.
• Experience with inspections, audits, incident investigations and/or safety management.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with a practical approach to problem-solving.
• Able to work confidently with both vessel crews and shore-based teams.
• Willingness to travel as required.
